What We Like About This Area
Living in northern Delaware gives us the opportunity to take advantage of the area’s urban areas, such as Wilmington and Philadelphia, while remaining close to recreational activities including nearby parks, wildlife areas and rivers.
Despite having a New Castle address, the two communities we’re closest to—Bear and Red Lion—are both named after colonial-era taverns. George Washington apparently visited the one in Bear. What’s cooler than that?
We're conveniently located for the area's many apartment complexes, including Brandywine, Willow Chase, Beaver Brook, Meridian Crossing, Rockwood and multiple others.
Nearby, head up to US-40 for a wide range of restaurants, including local favorites like Trattoria di Napoli, Stewart’s Brewing Company or Two Claws. We also like the New Castle Farmer’s Market a few miles up US-40 for fresh vegetables and the like.
